- Have your own YouTube channel? Share updates with your followers about your progress on Upstart University. (Don’t forget your link).
- Include a call-to-action with your referral link right on your website.
- Are you a part of ag-inspired social media groups? Lend a hand to your fellow farmer by connecting them to the resources on Upstart University.
- Share your Upstart University course progress and your referral link weekly on your personal and business Facebook Page, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Etc.
- Read a post, blog, or update in which a friend is struggling with farm planning? Post a helpful comment in response, and share your referral link.
- Send an email out to your network.
How To (Getting Started)
- Sign into your user account.
- Get your unique referral link (you can set it up with different campaigns if you wish).
- Share your unique referral link with your network using the share buttons after generating your URL, or share them manually.
- For extra effectiveness, check out the “Creatives” for images and banners for use on social media, your website, etc. To use creatives, either right-click to save the images, or copy and paste the embed code for placement on a webpage.
- For each person that signs up for either an Annual or a Monthly subscription, you will receive 10% of the purchase price of their membership. The system will automatically track visits and sign ups based on your link. (It tracks it no matter what page they go to on the site).

Dashboard Definitions
The affiliates dashboard allows you to create referral links and check the status of your referrals and earnings. Please be aware of the following:
- Unpaid Referrals = The number of successful sign ups associated with your account.
- Paid Referrals = The number of successful signs ups for which we have credited you.
- Unpaid Earning = The amount of tuition you have earned, but have not been credited.
- Paid Earnings = The amount of tuition we have credited you.
- Referral > Status is “Rejected” = Free Limited Trial memberships do not count toward referrals and will be rejected.
- Visits = The number of times someone has visited Upstart University using your referral link (does not imply a sign up).
- Unique Links = The number of unique referral links you have created and shared.
- Converted = The number of students who have signed up for a Monthly or Annual Unlimited Membership using one of your referral links.
- Conversion Rate = The percentage of people who have actually signed up for an Unlimited Membership using your referral code, versus those who just checked out the site and didn’t sign up.
- Rejected Referral Earnings = The number of unpaid earnings that have been rejected as a result of the referral sign up purchase getting refunded or revoked.
