The 5 Secrets of Successful Hydroponic Growers

  1. They try new technology.
  2. They invent solutions.
  3. They try new marketing techniques.
  4. They aren’t afraid to start small.
  5. They aren’t afraid to try new business models.

Secret #1: They try new technology.

Successful hydroponic growers are not afraid to try new technologies.

When it comes to trying new technologies, there’s a smart way to go about it, and a foolish way to go about it. Don’t rush into it blindly or hold back in fear. Rather, do some research, think critically, seek counsel, and then take action.

This will bring you hydroponic success, and this is what all of our successful hydroponic growers have done.

Secret #2: They invent solutions.

Successful hydroponic growers invent solutions where none exist. This is simple – creativity on a fundamental level.

A successful hydroponic grower has to be the type of person that notices a problem and creates a solution, rather than waiting on one or settling for a bad alternative.

A great example of this is Chris Lukenbill of Fresh With Edge. He saw a need for hydroponic data technology that hadn’t been created yet. Instead of waiting, he created one himself.  He is a highly successful hydroponic grower.

Secret #3: They try new marketing techniques.

Successful hydroponic growers are not afraid to try innovative new marketing techniques.

For example, take Haydn Christensen, a small farmer who decided to market his produce in a way that would not only improve his traction in the market but also his customer satisfaction. By delivering live towers to places like Whole Foods, Haydn was able to cut down on his labor and packing costs and deliver more value to customers. It was a win for Haydn, and it was a win for his customers.

Secret #4: They aren’t afraid to start small.

Successful hydroponic growers aren’t afraid to start small.

The most sobering incident we’ve seen is the grower who invests a huge amount of money to build a top-notch facility, and abandons it a month later when it wasn’t what he expected; it wasn’t an overnight fortune.

Establishing a farm is really hard work. An entrepreneur may go several years on a very small paycheck before their business takes off.

A successful hydroponic grower is willing to commit to long-term success, even if the face of short-term hardship.

A great example is Ron Mitchel with Local Greens. He started small and has been adding to his system 50 towers at a time. Now, he is thriving in his market.

Secret #5: They aren’t afraid to try new business models.

A successful hydroponic grower isn’t afraid to try new business models.

The ebook takes a look at 2 pioneering businessmen who decided to break out of the mold and offer unprecedented services to their community. It was a risk. They invested time and money into a business model with no manual or handbook, and with no 100% guarantee of success. But because they were strategic and smart about getting support from their peers, both of these men are now managing profitable, rewarding businesses.

Now that’s what I call success!
