One of the most important decisions you’ll make as a farmer is what crop(s) you are going to grow.
As a hydroponic or aquaponic farmer, you’ll need to take many things into consideration when choosing your crop(s) including whether a crop has a high enough demand to be viable in your market, if it will grow in the system that suits your needs, if it’s appropriate for hydroponics or aquaponics at all, labor and expenses associated with the crop, your ability to stand out and compete with it, and much more.
