An intro to Organic certification
The ability to produce crops organically can add value, be less harmful on the environment, differentiate yourself from your competitors, and help you target a different market of people. However, there are many laws and regulations that go into organics and in order to label your produce as organic, you must abide by them.
This course is designed for anyone who is interested or trying to produce organically. The course has lessons on several aspects of organic certification like labeling regulations, pros and cons of organic, practices and issues facing organic producers and much more. The purpose of the organics course is to inform farmers on the basics of organic certification under the USDA’s National Organic Program regulations. It will deliver a large amount of regulatory information in a very short time period.
